Two HP boys lacrosse players earned All-American honors from US Lacrosse for the Texas Area.
Austin Mai, a senior midfielder, and Chris Hipps, a junior defenseman who has already committed to Duke in 2010, are this year's standouts for the Scots.
The entire US Lacrosse honorees for Texas were:
Man of the Year - Edie Lycke, BRIDGE-Dallas
Coach of the Year - Mike Newton, Houston Memorial
Assistant Coach of the Year - Denis Lambert Plano
Academic All-Americans
Kevin Hedrick, Sr., Hillcrest
Peter Spradling, Sr., Houston Kinkaid
Evan Greif, Sr., San Antonio Saint Mary's Hall
All-Americans
Cody Solaja, Sr., Defense, ESD -- will play at Hofstra University
Ross Gillum, Sr., Attack, Plano -- will play at Cornell University
Basil Kostaras, Sr., Midfield, ESD -- will play at Quinnipiac
Austin Mai, Sr., Midfield, HP -- will attend Texas
Jeff Perkins, Jr., Attack, St. Marks
Chris Hipps, Jr., Defense, HP -- has committed to Duke in 2010
