We're finished here in Denton with the regional track finals, and Matt Galvin just took eighth in the 1,600-meter run in 4:41.78. Galvin had the 10th-best time coming into the meet based on district results, so he improved on his standing against the tough regional field. Tyler Chappell of Cleburne won the race in 4:29.86.
The Scots didn't score in this meet, but this concludes the Scots' banner track and field season that included a District 10-4A championship and advancing all three relay teams and five individual entries to regionals.
