| Alumni: Nice column on Stafford by Scott Farrell |

I was running through the Rangers boxscore during a timeout in HP's football scrimmage, and came across this very well-written column on Matthew Stafford. It seems our former Scots quarterback has grown quite a following on Detroit, and the Lions are readily accepting his leadership even though he's only a second-year player.
It might have something to do with him coming off the bench with a near-separated shoulder to throw a game-winning touchdown pass last season. That grittiness, which we already knew he had, is giving fans in Motown hope, which has been a rare commodity up there.
