HP moved to 8-1 in district play and one step closer to clinching a playoff spot with a 22-25, 25-20, 25-17, 25-16 win over Wylie on Friday at Highlander Fieldhouse. Outside hitter Margeaux Mendenhall tallied a career-high 31 kills for the Scots, who are now 25-14 on the season. The Scots are currently in second place in District 10-4A, one game behind Richardson Pearce, who HP hosts on Friday. The Scots host third-place McKinney (6-3) at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Mendenhall also had two aces to add her impressive offensive performance, and came up with 20 digs and two blocks on defense. Hope Ogden added 17 kills and had a team-high 26 digs. Caroline Culwell had 25 digs and two aces. Catherine Ken had 20 digs. Elizabeth Lee dished out 53 assists and added 18 digs and an ace. Boxscore HP def.
